Update: Corona & National holidaysPublished 21 april 2020
With the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) worldwide, we would like to communicate our commitment to continue our business while at the same time ensuring health of our staff.
All our terminals in the Port of Rotterdam are open and running with all activities. This includes vessel loading / discharging, container handling, transport by truck/rail/barge and customs clearance. We follow the advice of the “Dutch Health and Safety Organisation” (RIVM) and have taken precaution measures. Some employees work from home and terminal staff is following strict social distancing rules. As always, we would like to communicate in an open and transparent way. Several shipping lines informed us that any disruption caused by the Covid-19 outbreak that lead to additional costs will be passed on to customers. These could be charges such as detention, demurrage, late delivery charges, etc. We might need to pass on such charges as well.
We would like to inform you that we have some national holidays coming up. On the following dates our terminals and office are closed:
- Monday 27th April, King’s Day
- Tuesday 5th May, Liberation Day
- Thursday 21st May, Ascension day
- Monday 1st June, Whitsun
As always, we stay available for urgent matters on these days. If you have any specific questions of the impact on your logistics, please reach out to us.
